First Post!

It's weird to think that I could write anything here that anyone would desire to read.  It might be fun, though, to get some interesting conversations started on sports physics.  I'm a physicist who researches the world of sports.  My first book, Gold Medal Physics:  The Science of Sports, is one of my efforts to convey my love of physics and sports.  I love researching the physics of sports, and I love teaching physics at Lynchburg College.  Perhaps this blog will become something more than me rambling to myself ....
